Individuals with special needs may experience difficulty managing social situations and conversations. ABA methods are applied to teach individuals how to maneuver social situations in school, work, and life.

 

Treatment is designed to provide social skills opportunities in the home and community. These opportunities aim to improve client deficits and strengths. Learning how to understand social interactions and engage with individuals independently is taught. Evidence-based training may include video-models, peer-mediated interventions, social stories, and script use.
